Aromaticity

Aromaticity is chemistry based on one or more organic rings, i.e. ring molecules based an carbon atoms.

Usually the ring is a hexagon, which is called the benzene ring, because the benzene molecule is such a hexagon with each carbon atom aditionally conjuncted to a hydrogen atom. However aromatic rings can also be pentagons or tetragons.

Benzene rings usually are very stable molecular structures.
