Tetrafluormethane, popular known under its tradename "Freon 14" (Dupont). CF4is a process gas frequently used for Plasmapolymerisation. Results in fluorinated hydrophobe surfaces which are usually used for epilam coatings.
CF4 process gas can be used for Plasmapolymerisation of PTFE surfaces.
